To some of the friends from home I haven't seen in awhile. Laugh a little. I can't wait to see the boys soon.

Everythig in life has a time and place, you just have to capture it at the right moment to make it last for a lifetime.

Malcolm Gladwell
Anyone ever heard of Malcolm Gladwell? Blink? Tipping Point?
Here's an interesting article about social change and social media (twitter etc.) where Mr. Gladwell argues that social media does not and cannot enact and create social change

Rainy Daze
Daily Thought: Every time it rains the mood around changes. Its like a switch everything grows quiet, animals disappear into their dens, people become more hushed and quiet. I kind of like the rain a lot. Its when you can have some peace and quiet whether your wrapped up in the library, chillen on your couch, or walking outside in the rain, your heads cleared.

Daily Thoughts
I'm "chillen" in TISCH library, which btw is absolutely beautiful, and I am actually studying for the first time in college. It's crazy what a difference it is to study in a library....
Anyway schools been going well. Intro to IR is by far my most interesting and intellectually challenging course. I love it. It's way too much reading, way too much content, but just the right amount of intellectual stimulus for me to actually think college is not going to be high school.
Anyway so far I've met some good friends here but its taken awhile to adjust.
Let's see some highlights so far have been traipsing through Boston. From drunken $50 cab rides to Wellesley... , to "cultural immersions" of Boston visiting Carmaloop, Bodega, etc.

RETROspection
Looking back time's flown past.... it's been 3 week since I lasted posted. My heads too jumbled, too incoherent to write a full post. That'll come in the next few weeks. College Review: School/Academics are wonderful, challenging, and fascinating. My Art History: Picasso to Pollock class covers all the things I love about art, Padilla would be very proud.
My Intro to IR class is a perfect blend of History, Philosophy, Political Theory, and cognitive argument, it's what I see as a true college lecture class.
I'm taking Calculus 2 with Professor Mary Glaser who has this ridiculous nack for teaching calculus in a fascinating, comprehend able, and intelligent way
My two Chinese courses are perfect to help me get through my lack of cultural immersion into my heritage.
People here are wonderful, life here and back at home are pretty similar, there's no huge west coast east coast difference I can find except possibly the cultural differences of slang.
But things definitely have changed recently. My friends, the people I spend time with, the relationships i've built and lost. SHIT SON... wtf...?? no one ever told me it be like transplanting yourself into a world devoid of all your homely possession and familiarity haha.
